We're glad you found our web page! You can find Bala United Church next to the scenic Bala Falls on Muskoka Road 169 in the small town of Bala. Sunday fellowship and coffee begin at 10:45 am in the Jackson Christian Education Wing. Services and Sunday School begin at 11:15 am.
We have a renown Gift Shoppe inside the church where hand made knit wear, preserves and other lovely gifts are offered for sale. We offer Chili at the Church on Cranberry Festival Weekend in October.
Our vibrant little church hosts year round Bala residents, cottagers and those who winter away. There has been a church on this site almost since Bala's beginning. In 1925, with the founding of the United Church of Canada, the Presbyterian congregation at this location became part of the newly formed United Church. Come and join us on Sunday. You will find us friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. We welcome rentals of our facilities.
Welcome to Port Carling United Church! We invite you to join with us for our worship service Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Children are welcome to attend our Sunday School and participate in special programs for children. Our church hosts a vibrant and active congregation who also like to sing. We lay claim to having one of the finest musicians anywhere leading our choir and the congregation in the singing of hymns.
The recent addition of the new cupola and carillon has added to the character of our village with music playing on the hour, throughout the day.
Port Carling United Church is located on the corner of Muskoka Road 118 and Armstrong Point Road, on a hill overlooking the main street in the quaint village of Port Carling at the "Hub of the Lakes!"
